Anyway, we’re officially half-way through 2010 (woah!) and I’m a mere two months away from my 25th birthday (double woah!). Although summer doesn’t officially come into full swing until later this month, we’re already feeling the heat here in New York City! I’ve had the fan on constantly in my room, and I’m starting to contemplate buying an A/C unit. We’ll just have to wait and see if I actually breakdown and buy one.
I’m also four months away from the conclusion of my 1,001 Days Challenge and I’m still a far cry from completing all the items.
On the movie front, I’ve currently watched 92 movies since January 1, 2008, but it’s been over a month since I watched my last movie (Date Night – very funny). I should have that done by the end of July, I think. This summer I’m hopeful that I’ll be able to knock off a couple more items, including a camping trip, a trip to Montauk, a visit to one more state and a trip out of the country for my birthday (we’re thinking Canada). Sadly, Israel and Amsterdam are out of the picture for this round. But luckily I have my honeymoon to look forward to, so it’s not a complete wash.
I’m also gunning to send out a couple more sussies! Would you like a surprise gift? I mean, c’mon, who doesn’t like awesome yet free stuff from yours truly? If you want to nominate yourself, you can email me your address at amblass[ @ ]gmail.com. I promise not to sell it to third party vendors.
I’m also really really really hoping that maybe – just MAYBE – I can get my A1C under 7.0% in July. Doubtful, but stranger things have happened. Now that I’m back on Metformin (more on that later), there is a glimmer (a very very tiny glimmer, but it is there!) of hope. I have also been making some progress on the weight loss front, and while it’s nothing noticeable, the numbers are slowly getting smaller and that makes me happy. Progress is a great motivator, isn’t it?
What are you up to this summer? Any goals you’d like to share? They say if you share your goals you’re more likely to be accountable and follow through. Let’s here what you got!
