March Recap and April Goals:

April 1, 2010

March Goals:

Send another sussy. Success! Except the sussy has not arrived to its intended recipient so… I can’t tell you any more about it. Other than the fact I did indeed do this.

Write in my prayer journal. Fail. I wrote like… once.

Write my blood sugars down everyday. Success! I downloaded an iPhone app and wrote my blood sugars down everyday. Now that I’m in the groove again, I’m using Kevin’s most awesomest Excel spreadsheet to track my blood sugars, which is pretty important now that I’m on Metformin and gunning for an under 7% A1C. Oh yes. You heard me right. UNDER SEVEN PERCENT (a.k.a. The Holy Grail).

Eat vegetarian for one week. Fail. I just… can’t do it. Ugh!!!!

Donate to the National MS Society. Success! I donated $25 to a fellow blogger’s MS Ride which was cool.

3/5 isn’t so bad…

April Goals:

Send yet another sussy. I’m on a gift-giving kick! I love it. 🙂 Sending people random gifts is so much fun. If you would like to nominate yourself to get a sussy from me, then please send me your address using this Google form.

Send a secret to Something I’ve always wanted to do. I’m not very creative and probably won’t get on the website, but I think it would be cathartic.

Catalog all my expenses for a month. My original goal was to catalog my expenses for one month a year during the 1,001 days (which comes to doing it for 3 months). So far, I only did it one year, but I figure if I can make it another year than doing 2 out of 3 months isn’t so bad and I can consider it complete. So I’ll be writing down everything I spend.

Start a photoblog. I’ve always wanted to have a photo blog so I think this will be the month to do it. Now that the weather is getting better, there’s more incentive to go out and take pictures. As soon as I get it up and running, I’ll blog about it here.

Visit an art gallery. One of my goals is to visit 10 art galleries, yet I have yet to go to even one! So I plan on getting better at that.

What are your goals for April?

  1. April 1, 2010 10:49 AM

Sigh. My main April goal: to start measuring my food with a scale and measuring cup to improve my carb counting. It’s a goal that makes me want to carve my eyeballs out with a spoon…

Yes, carb counting is important. I should probably buy a scale but I’m afraid I would be lazy and wouldn’t use it.

  2. April 1, 2010 10:59 AM

    You’re such a goal setter! I wish I was that way. 🙂

My 101 Things list is a pretty good motivator! You should make one. It’s fun!

I want to send a secret to Post Secret also. Maybe I talk too much I can’t think of anything to send them!

April goals… book more demos; ride at least 150 miles — better yet, 200 miles… get in at least one or two climbing workouts… need to get more sponsors for my Tour de Cure ride… finish work on the living room… get the office straightened up again

I laugh every time you fail at a week of vegetarianism. I’m not laughing *at* you.

I guess since I have been vegetarian since 2001 (and off and on to varying degrees for a decade before that) I think it’s so easy.

I may have to write out a menu plan for you or send you some recipes. Not that I follow a menu plan! Gah! As if I was that organized when it comes to meal planning.

Summer is an easy time to be veg with all the fresh produce.

Congratulations on the goals you did meet and good luck for the ones you want to.

I actually didn’t even try this month. I just failed at even getting the motivation to do the goal. I eat chicken almost everyday and love to get meat dishes when I go out to eat. Sigh.
