My Voice, My Life
Today is the OC’s self-proclaimed Type 1 Diabetes Awareness Day.
Instead of just writing another blog post about my life with diabetes, I have created a simple power point presentation about my life with diabetes that I am sending out to co-workers, non-D friends and family. This presentation is obviously just a fraction of my life with diabetes, but for the sake of time and patience, I decided to try to explain everything in just 10 slides. It’s a lot harder than it looks.
If you would like to use this power point presentation to explain diabetes to your friends and family, feel free to send it around.
Hopefully this presentation has educated you and encouraged you to find out more about type 1 diabetes, or at least be more aware of the differences in the media and in your conversations with people. We need your help to educate others.
If you do not have diabetes and are reading this and would like to ask me questions, feel free to send me an email at amblass at gmail dot com.
Please check out all the wonderful activity going on today! You can see a full and current list at Kerri’s blog.
